Istanbul Stationery, Paper, School and Office Products Exhibition opened its doors for the 18th time on approximately 30.000 sqm , with the participation of over 200 exhibitors.
Istanbul Stationery, School and Office Supplies Fair ,the 4th largest Fair in its sector worldwide, met its professional visitors between the dates of March 14-18 in Istanbul Expo Center/ Cnr Expo. The exhibition was opened by Istanbul Governer Hüseyin Avni Mutlu, Hürriyet Newspaper Publishing Advisor Doan Hzlan, Turkish Education Foundation General Manager Turgut Bozkurt, stanbul Chamber of Commerce Board Member Mehmet Akif Develiolu, TOBB Board Member Çetin Osman Budak and TÜKD Chairman of the Board Mehmet Helvacioglu and EUF Board Member Tuber Yasa .
Doan Hzlan , at the opening ceremony mentioned that the stationery fair is not only a showcase where the exhibitors present their products but also a place where issues are discussed, stationery related legislations are brought forward, panels and symposiums are organized. Istanbul Governer Hüseyin Avni Mutlu, congratulated the new season of stationery industry and wished success to all the exhibitors and visitors.
Stationery & Office 2012, organized by ITE Group Plc. Turkey Branch E International Trade Fairs with the support of Stationery Industrialists, Importers, Exporters and Wholesalers Association (TUKID), once again was the most important platform in which the agenda of stationery&office sector was followed, new products and new trends were showcased and deals were made.
In TÜKD- FREKANS Information Platform; Technology Magazine Editor Volkan Ylmaz addressed to touchscreens and pointed out that the interest for pen and paper is not expected to decrease and both forms shall be used side by side. On the 2nd day of the fair, SM Financial Consultant brahim Albayrak spoke about the New Turkish Trade Legislation. On the 3rd day, famous Turkish poet and writer Sunay Akn gave a seminar that attracted a great deal of interest and he emphasized stationery fair is above trade and it is the fair of literate people. He also stressed that humanity and enlightenment road is through pen and paper.
At Stationery & Office 2012 Fair, contributions to the foundation for the victims of the earthquake in Van was made by donating to Turkcell Project . The exhibitors and visitors supported the campaign,as well. Therefore, Stationery & Office Exhibition did serve a meaningful purpose this year.

Among the products that were exhibited; all school and office supplies, agenda-calendar, computer, photocopy and printer machines and equipment, drawing-designing products, filing products, post products, calculators, souvenirs, business/file and school bags, paper products and notebooks, cartridge and refill products, toys and educational materials, panel and blackboards, test, school and preschool educational publications, art and hobby materials, desk pads and desktop supplies, adhesives and plasters, writing tools take place.
